Your recordings stay under your control
Privacy Policy
Wireless Mic does not collect personal data through the app. It has no accounts, advertising, tracking, analytics, or developer-operated cloud service.
Microphone and audio recordings
Microphone access is used to preview input levels and make recordings when you ask the app to do so. Audio recordings, verified capture segments, markers, detected capture-health events, edits, notes, reels, and related metadata are stored in the app’s local storage. The developer does not receive them automatically.
Audio analysis
Features that inspect levels, clipping, or recognizable sound events process the recording on the device. Results are informational and can be incomplete or incorrect; they are stored with your local review data and are not sent to the developer.
Optional location
If you enable “Save recording location” and grant permission, the app may save the iPhone’s location with a recording to help you remember where it was made. Location is optional, can be removed from a recording, and is not embedded in audio files you share. The app may ask Apple’s geocoding service for a nearby place name; Apple handles that system service under its own privacy terms. A full library archive can include stored recording metadata, including a location, so review your choices before sharing an archive.
Preferences, notifications, and system status
The app stores preferences such as recording quality and interface choices on the device. It may use local notifications and system recording-status features when you enable or use them. Battery level and available storage are read to show safety warnings and schedule local work; this information is not sent to the developer.
Exports, Files, and backups
When you export or share audio, a reel, or an archive, the data goes to the app, person, device, or service you choose. If you choose a Files destination for archive copies, iOS and that location’s storage provider control transfer and synchronization under their own terms. Wireless Mic does not operate that provider and cannot confirm its remote upload state. Device backup services may include app data according to your system settings.
Deletion
Moving a recording to Recently Deleted hides it but retains its files until you permanently delete it. Permanent deletion removes app-controlled local files when no protected dependency still needs them. Deleting the app removes its app-controlled local storage, subject to operating-system backup and restore behavior. Copies you exported, shared, or saved with another provider must be removed from those destinations separately.
Support and this website
If you email support, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments you choose to send, and use them to respond. Do not attach recordings or personal information you do not want to share. The app does not automatically attach diagnostics or recordings to support messages.
These public pages are hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub may process technical request information when you visit under GitHub’s Privacy Statement. These pages contain no added analytics or advertising scripts. Apple separately handles App Store, TestFlight, iCloud, notifications, and other system services under its own terms and your settings.
